The launch point will be at either the left or right end of the airfield (depending on wind direction). The launch point will have a yellow & white control caravan parked at it (the opposite end will have a blue or silver winch parked at it.
Please WALK to the launch point
KEEPING STRICTLY TO THE OUTSIDE EDGE OF THE AIRFIELD PLEASE BE AWARE OF AIRCRAFT TAKING OFF AND LANDING

From the North (Thetford, Bury St. Edmunds)
A134 towards Bury St. Edmunds, then Sudbury.
Take the right turn towards Long Melford, turn right again taking the A1092 towards Clare.
Continue approx 6 miles, then after passing through Clare turn immediately left onto Ashen Road
Continue on Hollow Lane towards Ashen. Just before Ashen bear left (signposted Ovington).
Entrance to airfield is on the right immediately after the next sharp left hand bend
Turn left into airfield
After entering the airfield park on the left.
From the East (Ipswich)
A1017 towards Sudbury
Turn right onto A134 (Assington Road)
Several roundabouts follow signposts to A134 straight on
Continue north bypassing Long Melford and take the sharp left exit.
After half a mile turn right onto A1092 (Lower Street).
Continue approx 6 miles, then after passing through Clare turn immediately left onto Ashen Road
Continue on Hollow Lane towards Ashen. Just before Ashen bear left (signposted Ovington).
Entrance to airfield is on the right immediately after the next sharp left hand bend
Turn left into airfield
After entering the airfield park on the left.
From the South (Southend)
A130 towards Chelmsford
A131 towards Sudbury.
Before you get to Halstead turn left at High Garratt onto the A1017 towards Sible Hedingham (Gosfield Road).
After approx 6 miles turn right at Ridgewell
towards Ashen.
Follow road approx 2 miles to Ashen bearing left at the willow tree.
Take the next right (signposted Ovington)
Entrance to airfield is on the right immediately after the next sharp left hand bend
After entering the airfield park on the left.
From the West (Bishops Stortford)
A120 towards Great Dunmow
Continue on A120 bypassing Braintree and bear left onto the A131.
Before you get to Halstead turn left at High Garratt onto the A1017 and follow directions as from the south (above).
From Cambridge/Haverhill
Take the A1017 travelling east from Haverhill.
At Ridgewell turn left towards Ashen and follow Follow roadapprox 2 miles to Ashen bearing left at the willow tree.
Take the next right (signposted Ovington)
Entrance to airfield is on the right immediately after the next sharp left hand bend
After entering the airfield park on the left.
