Meet Our Instructors
Essex Gliding Club has an extremely dedicated team of instructors providing excellent training and experiences to all members of our club.
Harry van de Noort
Harry is our chief flying instructor (CFI), When he is not instructing, he is renowned for his classroom lessons helping our post solo pilots through their SPL Exams.
Dave Hertzberg
Dave is our deputy CFI. He is pictured here in the backseat of one of our club PW-6 2 seaters. Dave is also our club chairman.
Vince Earl
Vince is one of our instructors at Essex gliding club. Vince is also our club safety officer ensuring safe operation of the club.
Hugh Maddams
Hugh is another of our instructors. Hugh is one of our longest standing members with over 30 years of gliding experience.
Tony Brook
Tony has been an instructor at Essex Gliding Club for over 20 years. He enjoys flying with our visitors and voucher holders.
