Meet Our Instructors
Essex Gliding Club has an extremely dedicated team of instructors providing excellent training and experiences to all members of our club.
Dave Hertzberg
Dave is our chief flying instructor (CFI). He is pictured here in the backseat of one of our club PW-6 2 seaters.
Harry van de Noort
Harry is not only our Deputy CFI, but is also renowned for his classroom lessons helping our post solo pilots through their Bronze endorsement.
Vince Earl
Vince is one of our instructors at Essex gliding club. Vince is also our club safety officer ensuring safe operation of the club.
Hugh Maddams
Hugh is another of our instructors. Hugh is one of our longest standing members with over 30 years of gliding experience.
Kevin King
Kevin is one of our more cross country focussed instructors. When Kevin is not instructing he enjoys long soaring flights taking him all over East Anglia.
Tony Brook
Tony has been an instructor at Essex Gliding Club for over 20 years. He enjoys flying with our visitors and voucher holders.
